Beauty, Strength, and Giving Back: Why Breast Cancer Awareness is Personal for Me

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and as we are half way through the month, I wanted to express that this cause is more than just a campaign or a ribbon for me—it’s part of my life, my journey, and my heart. As a breast cancer survivor, I know firsthand how deeply this disease can impact not only those diagnosed but their families, friends, and communities. That’s why I am grateful for the opportunity to be able to use my platform to make a difference, and why I’m so proud to be supporting Strides Against Breast Cancer through my Avon business this month.

My Journey as a Survivor

It wasn’t too long ago that I heard the words no one ever wants to hear: “You have breast cancer.” At that moment, my world shifted. I felt fear, uncertainty, and even anger.
